Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is your musical background?

A. I learned to sight read music at an early age, due to the fact that I sang in the Theater and Opera. I attended UCLA, where I majored in voice and musical composition. I left after 2 and a half years to join the Air Force. While stationed in Japan, I attended a guitar concert given by John Williams. The year was 1967. I began studying the guitar then and have been a serious student ever since.

Q. What is Sweet Harmonies all about?

A. I have been a participant in 4 part barbershop singing for years. I thought it would be an interesting experiment to record all parts where I sang the bass, baritone, tenor and lead. I chose some beautiful arrangements. The more I experimented, the better the sound.

Q. What type of equipment do you use?

A. I recorded the music at home using a Boss BR-900 CD recorder and a Groove Tube Microphone with Phantom Power. I act as my own recording engineer, and all mixing, editing and mastering of these songs have been done on this one unit.

Q. What are your future music plans?

A. I plan to introduce more Sweet Harmonies CD's in the not too distant future. I also will be making this music available on itunes and other digital distribution networks.

Q. Do you have a real job?

A. I work as a mortgage loan consultant for Washington Mutual and have been employed in this capacity for close to 25 years.
